Webflow Integration

Connecting BlogSEO to your Webflow site is the fastest way to turn AI-generated content into live, traffic-driving blog posts. The integration allows you to push fully formatted articles—complete with images, meta data, and proper structure—directly into your Webflow CMS.

This eliminates the tedious work of copying and pasting, preventing typos and formatting errors while letting you schedule posts in advance or publish them instantly.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following requirements ready:

  • Your Webflow site needs to be on a CMS or Business plan
  • You must have at least one CMS Collection created to house your blog posts
  • You'll need Admin or Editor access to the Webflow site you wish to connect

Getting Started

Getting started is simple:

  1. Navigate to Integrations in your BlogSEO dashboard
  2. Select Webflow
  3. Click Connect to Webflow
  4. You'll be prompted to log in to your Webflow account and authorize BlogSEO
  5. Once authorized, select the Webflow site you want to connect

Field Mapping Setup

After connecting your Webflow website to BlogSEO, BlogSEO's AI agent will try to automatically detect the best CMS Collection to use for your blog posts. If it can't find a suitable collection, you'll need to select one manually in the Webflow integration page in your dashboard.

If none of your collections work, you may need to update your Webflow CMS Collections to ensure they have the necessary fields for BlogSEO to map content correctly.

Here is the recommended fields setup for your Webflow CMS Collection:

  • A title field (text, required)
  • The article body (Rich Text field, required)
  • An author field (text or reference field, optional)
  • A publish date field (date field, optional)
  • A featured image field (image field, optional)

Publishing Content

Once mapping is complete, publishing is just a few clicks away. You have 2 options when publishing:

  1. Enable Auto-publish in the Webflow integration settings to have BlogSEO automatically publish articles as soon as they are generated.
  2. Manually publish articles from the BlogSEO dashboard when you're ready.

To publish an article manually:

  1. In your BlogSEO dashboard, go to the Articles section
  2. Select the article you want to publish (the status must be generated)
  3. Click the Publish button
  4. Choose Publish to Webflow
  5. After 1-2 minutes, your article will be live on your Webflow site

BlogSEO takes care of the rest, automatically handling all the formatting, media, and SEO details.

Troubleshooting

If you run into any issues, double-check that:

  • Your Webflow Collection is using a Rich Text field for the main article content
  • You have the necessary Admin or Editor permissions
  • If your published article leads to a blank page, make sure you have a dedicated collection template page set up in Webflow for the target CMS Collection
