Metrics explained
What each number means
- AI visibility score
- Also called share of voice: the share of all AI answers collected in the period that mention your brand. 200 answers, 80 mentions: 40%.
- Mention
- An exact, case-insensitive match of your brand name in an answer. Each prompt, on each platform, on each day it was checked, counts as one answer.
- Citation
- A link to one of your pages in the answer's source list. Mentions tell you AI knows you; citations tell you it sends people to you.
- Brand sentiment
- For every answer that mentions you, an AI model scores how you are presented from 0 to 100. 50 is neutral, above is a recommendation, below is a caveat.
- Difficulty
- The mention rate of the tracked competitor most often recommended for a prompt. High difficulty means a competitor firmly holds that prompt.
- Volume
- The estimated number of times a prompt is asked across AI assistants each month. Long conversational prompts often have no measurable volume.
